While I’m Standing Here
파운드리 서울은 오는 9월 13일부터 9월 30일까지 송예환 작가의 《While I’m Standing Here》를 웹사이트를 통해 공개한다. 작품은 파운드리 서울의 로고를 모티브로 한 오브제와 반응형 웹페이지로 구성된다. 오브제를 웹페이지가 띄워진 모바일 기기의 표면에 올려놓으면, 가상 세계에 존재하는 오브제의 나머지 모습이 드러나며 작품이 완성된다. 절반은 현실에, 절반은 가상에 존재하는 작품은 퍼즐맞추기나 블럭쌓기 놀이처럼 직관적이면서도 무한한 즐거움을 선사한다. 동시에, 현실과 가상의 두 세계가 뒤섞이며 점차 하나의 새로운 장으로 변모하는 지금, 우리는 어떻게 두 세계와 동시에 상호작용 할 수 있을지 예리한 질문을 던진다. 작품은 파운드리 서울의 웹사이트(www.foundryseoul.net) 에서 감상할 수 있다.
Foundry Seoul presents Yehwan Song’s While I’m Standing Here through its website from September 13 (Mon) to September 30 (Thu). The work consists of an interactive webpage and an object with the motif of the Foundry Seoul logo. When the object is placed on the surface of a mobile device on which the webpage is displayed, the webpage responds revealing the rest of the work in the virtual world. Work that is half real and half virtual not only provides childhood pleasure like jigsaw puzzles or building blocks, but also raises a keen question on how we can interact with both worlds in this era of extended reality.
