이외 주요 개인전으로는 2025년 로스앤젤레스 François Ghebaly의 《Zippers》, 2022년 로스앤젤레스 François Ghebaly의 《Everything is Surface: Twenty Years of Painting》, 2020년 François Ghebaly의 《Five Paintings》, 2018년 뉴욕 Garth Greenan Gallery의 《Taktisch》, 2014년 도쿄 Tomio Koyama의 《On the Surface》, 2008년 Las Vegas Art Museum의 《Looking Closely》, 2005년 마이애미 Bass Museum of Art의 《On Display》 등이 있다.

Victoria Gitman (b. 1972) is a Miami-based Argentine painter whose practice centers on the close observation of the surfaces and details of objects, reproducing subtle textures with extreme precision. She coalesces the senses of sight and touch through her meticulous rendering of materials such as vintage fur, sequins, zippers, ornaments, and the human body, often depicted at their actual scale. Through this intimate attention to surface and detail, she invites viewers into a heightened experience of observation—activating both tactile imagination and visual immersion in elements that are often overlooked in everyday life. Such details are not merely decorative; they serve as psychological and cultural symbols of the body, consumption, desire, and memory. In this manner, Gitman’s iconographic sensibility extends organically into discourses on modern traditions of abstraction and representation, and objecthood.

In 2015, Victoria Gitman was the subject of a mid-career retrospective at the Pérez Art Museum in Miami, curated by Réne Morales. Recent solo exhibitions include Zippers, François Ghebaly, Los Angeles (2025); Taktisch, Garth Greenan Gallery, New York (2018); On the Surface, Tomio Koyama, Tokyo (2014); Looking Closely, Las Vegas Art Museum, Las Vegas (2008); On Display, Bass Museum of Art, Miami (2005). Her works are held in the public collections of numerous museums, including Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Los Angeles; The Museum of Modern Art, New York; The Whitney Museum of American Art, New York; Pérez Art Museum, Miami; National Gallery of Art, Washington, DC; Detroit Institute of Arts, Detroit; and Museum of Contemporary Art, San Diego, among others.
