한지형은 1994년 서울 출생으로 서울을 기반으로 활동하고 있습니다. 작가는 한국예술종합학교 조형예술학과 학부 및 전문사를 졸업하였으며 재학 당시 프라하에서 뉴미디어를, 교토에서 오일 페인팅을 공부하는 등 여러 도시를 오가며 자신만의 독특한 스타일과 작업 세계를 구축하였습니다. 낯선 장소와 언어, 문화 속에서 새로움과 혼란을 동시에 느끼며 다양한 정체성에 대해 탐구하는 작가는 주로 가상 공간을 구현하여 그 속에서 발견되고 재생산되는 정체성과 다양성에 관한 작업을 이어가고 있습니다. 작가는 주로 가상 세계를 전시 테마로 내세우며, 그곳에서 사람들이 자신의 자아를 어떻게 드러내는지 뚜렷하면서도 희미하게 보여줍니다.

Jihyoung Han, born in Seoul in 1994, is currently based in Seoul. Han majored in Visual Arts (BFA, MFA) at the Korea National University of Arts and studied New Media in Prague and Oil Painting in Kyoto while pursuing her BFA degree. Studying and living in a global setting, the artist has been establishing her own style and artistic world. Han continuously examines various identities, feeling fresh and confused at the same time within unfamiliar places, languages, and cultures. Setting up virtual spaces, the artist introduces narratives on identities and diversity that are explored and reproduced within them.
